Advice with a position, not a product shelf.
We construct and manage concentrated equity portfolios for individuals, families and institutions. Each mandate draws on the same research desk, is held in your own demat account, and reports to you monthly with every decision explained.
An early book, and deliberately so.
Copernicus Hillview is a young firm advising a small number of clients. We are taking on mandates selectively, and we would rather say that plainly than imply a scale we do not have.
It has consequences worth knowing about, in both directions. You deal directly with the person who writes the research, capacity in every mandate is genuinely open, and nothing in the portfolio is there because the book grew too large to hold it. Equally, there is no long live record to inspect — only the process below, and the reports we publish, which you can read before you commit anything.

Four mandates we are set up to run.
Each is defined by its rules, its stock picks and its reference index. None carries a performance history yet; the pages below describe how the portfolio would be built, not how it has done.
A concentrated portfolio of quality businesses with durable returns on capital, bought at prices that allow for error. Positions are sized between 3% and 9%. We hold cash rather than own our twenty-first-best idea, and we expect turnover in the low teens once a portfolio is built.
Positions taken where a corporate event, not a growth forecast, creates the mispricing: demergers, open offers, index exclusions and post-litigation overhangs. Every position carries a written exit condition and a maximum holding period agreed before it is taken.
Built for investors drawing an income: companies with a stated payout policy, dividend coverage above two times, and balance sheets that do not require the dividend to be cut in a bad year. Yield is a consequence of the selection, not the objective.
For institutions and family offices with existing execution and custody. We supply the research, the model portfolio and the rebalancing calendar; you retain discretion. Constraints on sector, liquidity and ESG are accommodated at the construction stage. Terms are set per mandate.
What you pay, and what you get back.
Custody
Securities stay in your own demat account. We never hold client funds or securities.
Monthly
A statement of holdings, every change made in the month, and the reasoning behind each one.
Performance
Reported from your own mandate’s inception date, against its reference index, once a full financial year is complete. We publish no composite or back-tested returns.
Conflicts
Fee-only: no brokerage, no distribution commission, no issuer mandates. Analyst holdings are disclosed at the foot of every report.
Four steps from first call to first statement.
Discovery call
Forty-five minutes on your existing holdings, horizon, income needs and the things you would rather not own. No pitch.
Written proposal
A mandate recommendation with the target portfolio, the transition plan for what you already hold, and the fee in rupees rather than percentages.
Onboarding
Account opening with your chosen broker and custodian. Securities remain in your name throughout; we never hold client funds.
Monthly reporting
A statement, a performance attribution against your benchmark, and a written note explaining every buy and sell made that month.
